About Marsa Mubarak

Ringed by seagrass meadows and coral patches, Marsa Mubarak is a protected-feeling bay where wildlife comes close. Green turtles are a common sight, and lucky snorkelers may spot the elusive dugong feeding on the seabed, alongside guitarfish and the occasional spinner dolphin.

The bay is typically visited on a guided snorkeling tour from Marsa Alam, by boat or directly from shore. Tours include equipment and a guide who knows where the wildlife gathers, which greatly improves the chance of a memorable encounter while keeping a respectful distance.
