Karnak Temples (yes, more than one) definitely had the “wow”’factor as you stood at entrance. Meena, our guide, gave us lots of information which was extremely helpful, and then some free time to wonder round ourselves. Luxor was great but lacking in the wow factor. I found the traffic right up to the Temple a little off putting, and made it impossible to visualise how it would have looked 3500 years ago. Wasn’t keen on being taken to a Papyrus shop, and lunch was nice, but again a little rushed. And drink prices were high - LE350 for two small cans of Sprite. Ask for drinks menu.

Michael was fantastic guide. He explained everything we were seeing and gave time for pictures. I wasn’t feeling well and Michael took me to the cafeteria to rest and get something to drink. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend him and the tour.

My wife and I are currently celebrating our 11 year wedding anniversary and decided to do a tour visiting Karnak and Luxor temples while in Luxor. We are staying on the West Bank so the company arranged for us to take a water taxi across the Nile, which was an absolutely fantastic surprise! When we arrived on the East Bank, we met our wonderful tour guide, Mahmoud Haggag, who was prompt, pleasant, extremely knowledgeable, and a perfect addition to our first full day in Luxor. We received excellent information about the temples and history of Egypt and also had ample time to explore at both temples on our own. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing day in Luxor, visiting the Karnak and Luxor temples, made even more special by our incredible guide, Demiana. She was truly exceptional from start to finish – so kind, patient, passionate, and extremely knowledgeable. Her explanations were clear, insightful, and engaging, bringing the history of these ancient sites to life. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and truly cares about giving her guests a meaningful experience. An absolute gem – both professionally and personally. The restaurant where we had lunch had a beautiful view over the Nile, which was stunning – but unfortunately, the food was quite average and didn’t match the quality of the setting. Also, a note for travelers staying at a hotel on the West Bank: you’ll need to pay an extra fee for pick-up, and it’s a bit pricey, so it’s good to be aware of that in advance.

Our guide Reem was fabulous, so knowledgable and a fun tour guide. As it was a private tour, it was so efficient, with our own private car dropping us off and picking us up at each site. Reem was very adaptable with the itinerary, and amended the tour to suit ourselves. We made an Egyptian friend in just a couple of hours, and would definitely highly recommend Reem.
